Arbor Day 2024
Today, April 26, we celebrate Arbor Day with the planting of the trees on the territory of Mount Vatovavy from the new Mahazava Nursery. This area provides vital habitat for many species of lemurs.

The joy of this day lies not only in the tree planting itself, but also in the profound impact it has on both people and lemurs. Trees are the lifeline of our planet, providing oxygen, mitigating climate change and supporting biodiversity. They offer people clean air, sustainable resources and a connection with nature.

And for lemurs, trees are their home and source of food. Without Madagascar's dense forests, they will be deprived of their natural habitat and more species will be at risk of extinction.

By digging our hands into fertile soil and carefully placing each seedling into its new home, we are not just planting trees; we are sowing seeds of hope for a greener and more sustainable future.

The air is filled with anticipation as locals, young and old, come together to plant trees and restore habitat for the lemurs.

As stewards of the Earth, we have a responsibility to protect these precious ecosystems and ensure the continued existence of both people and wildlife. By planting trees today, we are investing not only in our future, but also in the future of next generations. Let's unite and plant trees together!
